JANET FETZER
Janet (Jeni) Fetzer (MA, LPCC-S) received her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. She has worked with a variety of populations including adolescents, adults, and families in both individual and group settings. In her work with adolescents, she has provided care for children and teens who report issues regarding suicide, depression, anxiety, family concerns, and behavior issues. Jeni has training in both art and play therapy and specializes in the unique needs that children and adolescents face. She utilizes a strength-based approach with each individual to help them achieve their goals toward wellness. Jeni is known for her ability to use humor as a therapeutic tool, while having the ability to honor her client’s trauma and difficult experiences. Jeni completed her training in EMDR therapy with the Institute of Creative Mindfulness and utilizes this approach to address trauma in clients as young as 3 years old through adulthood. She is has completed specialized training in using EMDR with children and adolescents and is a licensed professional clinical counselor-supervisor in the state of Ohio and owns the private practice.
